China Cooperation Network of ASME Code Items (CACI) was established on March 28, 1994. It is a branch of China Petroleum & Petrochemical Equipment Industry Association (CPEIA) with independent business and finance. Therefore, CACI uses another name of ASME Code Product Committee of CPEIA inside China

CACI registers in State Ministry of Civil Affairs. It is a countrywide and non-benefit organization. CACI now has 237members, including manufacturing enterprises, design and research institutes and inspection agents, all of them are using ASME Code in their business. Up to now 80 manufactories of 237 CACImembers are ASME stamp holders.

CACI establishes a Board of Director; the honorary president is Mr. Zhao Mingsheng, the former vice minister of Ministry of Machinery Industry.
Right now, the president of the 4th Board of Director is Mr. Zhao Zhiming, executive vice president of CPEIA, the executive vice president is Mr. Xu Yuzhong.
vice presidents are: Mr. Jiang zhixiang, professor of Tsinghua University; Mr. Xu Yin, deputy director of Science and Environmental Protection Dept of China Iron and Steel Association; Mr. Yang Gu, deputy director of Quality Control & HSE Dept. of CNPC; Mr. Zou Lei, president of Harbin Boiler Company Limited; Mr. Zhao Dawei, president of Hangzhou Hangyang Stock Co., Ltd.; Mr. Shen Baojun, vice chief engineer of Dalian Bingshan Group Jinzhou Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. and Mr. Gao Ziyu, vice president of Shanghai Boiler Works Co., Ltd.
Mr. Yang Shuangquan is executive vice secretary-general.
Mr. Dai Shuhe, Mr. Chen Dengfeng and Ms. Yang Xiaozhao are consultants of CACI.

The Aim of CACI：

Through communion, cooperation and service, by way of harmonization and organization in material, design, manufacture, testing, inspection and completion as well as through training, technology exchange and consult activities to increase the product quality and level in China boiler industry and to promote Chinese product made with ASME Codes to enter international market.

The Main Work of CACI

To organize the famous experts within the industry to translate part ASME Boiler & Pressure Codes into Chinese under the License Agreement between ASME and CACI, then to publish and issue these Chinese Version of ASME Codes.

To service the members, to provide technical consultant for relative enterprises and institutions, to built the bridges and plate between famous experts and enterprises for technical exchange;
To help the members and relative enterprises to purchase English Version of ASME Codes and other American Publications, to provide help in contacting inspection agent for ASME certifying;
To organize seminars and training for ASME Codes application and technical exchange, in order to help relative persons to understand and apply ASME Codes correctly, and to solve the problems arising in application;
To publish <ASME in China> (Quarterly) regularly. It contains Codes Introduction; Translation forum; Technique Forum; CACI Activities etc. General speaking, <ASME in China> disseminates the application of ASME Codes in China in all fields, to introduce ASME publications, to provide the basic information of our members, to promote the mutual exchange between members. It is an authoritative internal issue in the field of ASME Codes research and application in China;
To publish and sale guidance books about ASME Codes, to help the enterprises and institutes to have a better understanding in ASME Codes application, research and certifying, such as <A Modern English-Chinese Pressure Equipment Dictionary>，<Guidance in ASME Certifying > etc.;
To establish close relationship with ASME Headquarter and BPVE Committee; to reflect the problems in ASME Codes application in China and raise the suggestions; according to requirement, to invite foreign experts and ASME authorized inspection agent to give the relative seminars or exchange activities; to organize exchange between foreign engineering enterprises and Chinese enterprises; to introduce the ability and level of Chinese ASME stamp holders to the large engineering enterprises and relative associations inside and outside China;
To built and maintain CACI website（www.caci.org.cn）for extend CACI’s influence, for introduce and sale CACI’s publications, for conduct technical consultant and exchange.

There are 4 employee in headquarters of CACI now, their responsibility is:

Mr.Xu Yuzhong, as a Executive Vice President of CACI, is in charge of CACI management, external connection and organizing intercommunion etc.

Mr. Yang Shuangquan as a Executive Vice Secretary General of CACI,is in charge of training, and edit, publication of ASME IN CHINA ( the publication of CACI, issued quarterly) and programme, maintenance, updating CACI website (www.caci.org.cn) .

Ms. Yao Quan is in charge of connection with foreigner, edit of ASME Code Addenda and management of CACI members.

Ms. Cheng Hui is in charge of distribution of publication (such as ASME IN CHINA, chinese translated version of ASME Code & Standards) and the daily grind of CACI.
